Repent and Prepare: God Wants to Reveal Your Spouse
God has a plan for your life, and if you’ve been waiting for your spouse, I want to encourage you today—He has not forgotten you. But there are things that might be delaying what He wants to release in your life.
One of the key things the Lord is saying in this season is: repent from ungodly covenants. These covenants—whether past soul ties, wrong relationships, or agreements that do not align with His will—could be holding up your blessing.
God Wants You to Experience Real Love
If you’ve been feeling discouraged, believing that marriage won’t happen for you because it hasn’t happened on your timeline, I want you to surrender that timeline to God. His timing is perfect. He is preparing both you and your future spouse for the love He has ordained.
Ezekiel 36:26 says,
"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh."
God’s promise is that your future spouse will have a heart that reflects His love—soft, compassionate, and full of grace. A heart transformed by God will be capable of loving you the way He intended, with selflessness and devotion.
Your Husband is Your Covering
Jeremiah 3:15 says,
"I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding."
Many think of pastors when they hear this verse, but God also applies this to marriage. Your husband is meant to be a spiritual covering—someone whose heart is after God, who seeks Him, and who will be able to lead, love, and pour into you from the abundance of his relationship with God.
This is why it’s so important to pray for your future spouse. Even before you meet them, intercede on their behalf. Ask God to purify their heart, remove distractions, and strengthen their relationship with Him. Because when a man or woman has a deep relationship with the Lord, the entire family benefits.
Guard Your Heart in This Season
Proverbs 4:23 reminds us:
"Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it."
There’s a difference between putting up a wall (which blocks everything out) and putting up a gate (which allows the right things in). In this season, you must have a spiritual gate—one that protects you from counterfeits but still allows God’s best to enter.
The enemy will try to send distractions—people who look, sound, and even act godly but are not the one God has for you. Discernment is key. Spend time with God, listen to His voice, and trust Him to show you the truth.
This is Your Investment Season
What you do in this season will determine your future. Your prayers, fasting, consecration, and worship are investments that will bring a return in due time.
Matthew 6:33 says,
"Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."
When you seek God first, everything else falls into place—including your future spouse. You don’t have to worry, doubt, or fear. The enemy may whisper lies about how long you’ve been waiting, but God understands timing and seasons better than we do.
Surrender your timeline to God, repent from anything holding you back, and trust that His perfect plan is unfolding.
